Mature Height: 10-15 feet

Mature Spread: 10-15 feet

Hardiness: Zones 4-8

Soil: Easily grown in average, medium, well-drained soil. Tolerates moist to somewhat dry soils. Can be used in rain gardens.

Light: Full sun to part shade

Growth Rate: Moderate to fast (height increase of 13-24" per year)

Additional Information: Blooms with white flowers in June. White fruit about 1/4" in diameter feed mammals and more than 100 species of birds including cardinals, downy woodpeckers, northern flicker and bluebirds. Foliage turns purplish red in fall. Works well as a shrub border, screen, along streams or ponds, erosion control or for wildlife habitat. Will spread to form thickets if root suckers are not removed.
