One tree mat measures 3' by 3' and provides 9 square feet of weed-free soil and all of the water and minerals that weeds usually take. VisPore mats block 92% of sunlight while letting water pass through with micro-funnels. During periods of little rain, Vispore mats trap moisture and protects roots from evaporation.
UV stabilized with carbon black for three years of weed control and a better option than mowing, hand-pulling, or herbicides. These mats are effective with both hardwood and evergreen seedlings.
2.5 mils thick. Use ground staples (not included) to anchor tree mats. Place with the dull, rough side down and shiny side up so micro-funnels are pointing toward the soil. Info sheet with instructions included.

Seedling orders must be picked up in person in late April or early May in Medford or Phillips, Wisconsin. Taylor County LCD does not ship trees, shrubs or planting products to individual customers.
The exact pick-up dates will be sent out in early April by email and/or USPS mail. The tree pick-up schedule has typically been on a Thursday, 3-6 p.m. and Friday, 8-11 a.m., for Medford orders and Friday from 8:30-11 a.m. for Phillips orders. If you are unable to pick up your order during those days/times, you may send another person to the pick-up or contact the Taylor County LCD at 715-748-1469 to make other arrangements.
